Instructed by Dasilva Solicitors, Steve Wells represented a client who was charged with conspiracies to import, export and supply 'spice' (a drug of class B).
He was the franchisee of a branch of “Mailboxes Etc” and he was alleged to have knowingly received and sent parcels containing controlled drugs.
His defence was that he did not know what was going on, and he was only doing his job.
After advancing this defence at a contested trial at Bristol Crown Court, Steve's client was acquitted on all three counts.
He was the only defendant to be acquitted. Two co-defendants pleaded guilty and two were found guilty by the jury.
