Jake Davin

Practice Assistant

9KBW welcomed Jake to Chambers in July 2024 to give additional support to our very experienced and highly dedicated  clerking team.

Profile:

Jake has quickly proved himself to be very adaptable and has fitted in very well with Chambers strong and professional clerking and administrative teams. He has provided invaluable support to both teams in assisting with day to day, very busy, diary management and providing our instructing solicitors with our expected high level of service, whilst also dealing with the administrative tasks that arise daily.
Jake has a background in the legal profession, having been a court usher in a London Magistrates Court for seven years, prior to joining 9 KBW

There Jake acted as the essential first point of contact for all the court users involved in cases/hearings. He was required to react promptly and professionally to unexpected situations and have the ability to deal sensitively with all members of the public visiting the court; many of whom were vulnerable and in a stressful situation.
Jake had daily contact with the judiciary, CPS lawyers and Criminal Defence Solicitors  as well as members of the Bar. The years of experience in this role have made him uniquely suited to the transition to a clerking role and the tasks and responsibilities of this position.
