He has a wealth of experience in the specialist areas of criminal and regulatory work and his knowledge of all aspects of this work is extensive.
Dave began his clerking career in 1997, and progressed through the ranks to become a Senior Clerk at a leading set in the Temple. Throughout his career Dave has clerked KC’s, Treasury Counsel, Leading and Led Juniors, and has consistently assisted the development of junior tenants and pupils to reach their full potential, watching them progress to working at the most senior levels.
Dave will work closely with those instructing to agree the right level of fees on every case and has extensive knowledge of both publicly funded and private fees.
Dave is highly qualified to assist those clients wishing to instruct a barrister under the Direct Public Access scheme and is happy to guide members of the public through the process, answering enquiries as to the suitability of Counsel in any of Chambers’ core practice areas and the fees that may be appropriate to each case.
Dave is always happy to meet with Solicitors at their offices, in Chambers or any other preferred venue to discuss Chambers services and any seminar or webinar requirements that they may have.
In line with Chambers governing principles, Dave aims to build a first class working relationship with every professional client and since joining 9KBW has demonstrated this to be one of his core abilities. He has a solid reputation for being approachable, direct, knowledgeable and highly professional at all times.
Dave is a member of Chambers Tenancy and Pupillage Committee, dealing with the selection of Tenants and Third Six Pupils. If you are considering a move, or making a first time application, and would like a confidential discussion about what Chambers can offer those who join us, he will be happy to arrange this, either by video call, telephone or in person, when circumstances permit.
Dave has been a member of the IBC since 1997.
