John Clifford secures the conviction of three Defendants as part of an Organised Criminal Network involved in firearms and drugs supply as well as counterfeit currency.
The Defendants were sentenced to a total of 48 years for offences of possession of the firearms with intent to endanger life, conspiracy to supply cocaine. MDMA and over £7,000 in counterfeit currency. Two firearms were seized from a shed at Lewis's address, wrapped in newspaper with a total of 34 rounds of live ammunition. Cell site evidence showed that Findlay had transported the firearms and was involved in the commercial supply of cocaine. The firearms were ready to be used with lethal effect. The third Defendant, Alpergin, was convicted of possession with intent to endanger life on the basis of DNA evidence only on one of the firearms and on one of the seal bags containing the ammunition.
