George’s client pleaded to the lesser offence of criminal damage, with the Crown accepting this plea instead of one of aggravated burglary. The Crown’s case initially was that the defendant, along with two others, had attended a property with the intention of causing those inside the property grievous bodily harm. Following a detailed defence case statement, the Crown accepted a plea to criminal damage, to which the defendant was sentenced to a conditional discharge.
