R v Ricardo Miles, Adebola Alimi and Daniel Ikumelo
Julian Jones was instructed by CPS North London. The case was investigated by the Operation Trident North East Team.
Each defendant was charged with, and convicted of, offences of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of ammunition to endanger life, and possession of an offensive weapon.
The trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court lasted for seven weeks and included a variety of different disciplines of expert evidence with regard to forensic findings and gang affiliation in Hackney. Nine Youtube rap videos featuring the defendants were played to the jury as part of the prosecution case.
The defendants were remanded in custody pending sentence on 5th July.
