John Ojakovoh secures the acquittal of his client on a £5 million+ fraud charge at Chelmsford Crown Court

John Ojakovoh successfully defended his client against a charge of Cheating the Public Revenue of which the client and three co-defendants stood accused. The charge related to the alleged fraudulent evasion of duty of between £5 million and £6 million. The case involved extensive surveillance and a large volume of telephone and banking and other documentary evidence. In the face of a detailed defence and a persistent and detailed approach to disclosure requests on behalf of John’s client, the prosecution decide to offer no evidence in the trial of all four defendants and the client was found Not Guilty.
